RETURN POLICY

Credit card companies require that we have a clearly stated return policy and that we follow that return policy. OK, so it's a little wordy. But at least we have very few returns, since most of our customers use our selection guides. Anyway, here it is:

  • All items must be returned within ten business days from receipt of shipment and in the original packaging. Merchandise must be unused, undamaged, and in salable condition. It is the sole discretion of Princess Bride Tiaras to determine if returned items have been used or if they are in salable condition. Merchandise that is returned in non-salable condition will be immediately sent back to the customer. Postage, shipping and handling charges are not reimbursable.


  • There is a 20% restocking fee on all returned items, damaged or undamaged. (see explanatory note #2 below.) We do not refund shipping.


  • Damaged items will be replaced with the same item only. Damaged items will not be refunded.

    We will immediately replace a flawed, defective, broken, damaged, or wrong item with the same style number only, entirely at our expense. There is no restocking fee in this event, and we pay the postage both ways. We examine each item very, very closely, as it is packed. We even double box it! Even so, sometimes the post office will handle a package roughly and the contents becomes damaged. In that case we will immediately and cheerfully replace it!


  • Pre-approval of returns is required. Please email us immediately if the item doesn't work for you. You must have a return authorization to send it back.

If you are uncertain which to choose, first check our pages Tiara Tips and Hints. If you have a very unusual gown or situation, send a photo of your gown, your hair color and how you will be styling it, along with your top two choices of tiaras and we can assist you in making a decision. A photo of your head can also help. It doesn't have to be a good photo, since we only need to see the shape of your head.

We have a sizable inventory of jewelry and veils that we match up with these tiaras every day. Someone here will look at your gown or your description and make a recommendation. We highly recommend attaching a photo and do so as a .jpg or .tif. If you don't know how to do this, just use the attach feature in your email program and we'll figure out how to view it.

#1: Our small business has suddenly become tremendously popular and we can't often answer an email the same day we receive it. Give us at least one or two days! Thanks!

#2: The 20 percent restocking fee is what it costs to pay an employee to receive and unpack the item, inspect it for damage, return it to inventory, update our list of items in inventory, then go to a computer and update our database, then find your original order and mark it returned (for tax purposes). We also lose two boxes and tissue paper that can't be reused. This involves more work and money than when we originally sent it out! Some customers will damage an item that they don't like, thinking they can return it for a refund. We don't refund damaged items, we only replace them with the same item, at our expense. We pay any extra shipping to replace a damaged item. A damaged item that is returned and not replaced is subject to the same 20% restocking fee as an undamaged item, and we do not refund postage.
