It was once thought that the stones in a tiara would
embue the wearer with some of their attributes--heroism, faithfulness, and love. It was not surprising
that ladies of the royal courts would find them appropriate to their dress, their hairstyles, and
for weddings. The revival of the Romantic movement after the French revolution revived the tiara,
but in a more modest setting. People no longer flaunted great wealth, but demonstrated it as an understatement.
It was considered more gracious. It was the beginning of "less is more".

Dazzling Crystals Genuine Austrian crystals on a silvertone setting. This delicately formed intricate arrangement
of perfectly faceted gems highlights the sparkle of your special day. Definitely a fine example of "less is more". Just enough sparkle--not quite a tiara, but a little more than
a headband. 5 and 1/2 inches long, 3/4-inch high. Pin loops as well as a comb for added security.
