First Kiss
It was a warm September afternoon. The Spanish moss hung lazily from the oak trees as she sank her feet
into the soft mud. She loved the marsh. It was where they shared their first kiss. She watched him in the distance as he searched through the clusters of

She dropped her bucket and hurried along the bank to inspect the rare and tiny treasure. He craddled the open oyster and handed it to her. She
gingerly cupped the shell only to find its fleshy insides. "But where is the pearl?" she asked bewildered. He took her into his arms and said,
"Right here."
