Empress Elizabeth
In an age known for romance and drama, the Empress Elizabeth of Austria was
considered by many to be the most beautiful crowned head in Europe. Her long
luxurious hair was her most famous feature, and she was known to have quite
a collection of tiaras and other hair ornaments to adorn her gorgeous tresses.
Legend has it that the Emperor Franz Joseph was to present a special tiara to
his bride upon their wedding in 1854, but the couple's aunt, the Empress Caroline
Augusta, accidentally broke it. The tiara was repaired and Elizabeth never learned
of the incident.

Inspired by the royal beauty of Empress Elizabeth, our designers have created this
stunning tiara. The dramatic floral vines and sweeping ribbons are bejeweled
by sparkling Austrian crystals. At 1/2 an inch wide, the regal headband really makes a
statement. The design measures 9 inches of the dazzling 13 1/2 inch band,
and the antique
silver-tone finish will make this tiara feel like an heirloom passed down from the
empress herself. The lovely faux pearls that are featured in the smaller flowers are
off-white, but tiny enough not to limit the color of gown this grand piece can be worn
with. Upswept hairstyles look especially stunning with this piece, but you can also use
it with any number of longer or shorter styles as well, and the pin loops on each end of
the band will help to hold it securely in place. The bride is wearing earrings No.402,
necklace No.493 and veil No.604 which are featured in our other galleries.
