The Poet's Lover
We've named this one after Eurydice, the beautiful maiden in Greek mythology who won the love of Orpheus, the bard. Stories tell that Orpheus has an amazing talent. His words were so powerful, and his music so moving that he could soothe wild beasts. He fell in love with Eurydice as much for her gentle heart as for her breathtaking beauty. When she died he endured the horrors of the underworld to retrieve her soul and bring her back to life.Like two lovers bound to each other forever in bliss, the pearls and stones on this elegant necklace seem to be fated to be together. The sparkling stones that make up the scalloped links are the highest quality Russian cubic zirconia. The faux pearls are a lusterous diamond white. The necklace measures 17 inches and joins with a secure clasp. Due to the color of the pearls, this lovely necklace goes best with white and off-white gowns. |
