Arctic Violet
There's a legend of a flower, a violet that is deceptively delicate looking, that grows in the coldest regions of the arctic. This magical blossom thrives where nothing else can survive. The flowers look as if they're carved from the glacial ice itself , and the petals sparkle like the finest diamonds. It was discovered by an expedition during the 1920's. A young American botanist first saw it. He collected more than he needed for his scientific studies, hoping to give some of the lovely, unusual flowers to his fiancee. However when his ship pulled back into harbor he opened the box where he'd kept the samples, and the flowers had literally melted way. All that was left was a clear, sweet smelling liquid.
