Silvertone Cubic Zirconium Wedding Bracelet
Tea Dance
It was the party that breached the breached the Victorian Era with the Roaring Twenties. Throughout the 19th century, tea had been at the center of civilized social gatherings in Europe and America. Afternoons, especially Sunday afternoons, were considered the best time to share a sip with the ladies and the occasional gentleman. Of course, the oh-so-formal ballroom dance with its strict guidelines of behavior was only for evening hours. Around 1910 the rules began to change. As the hemlines of ladies’ dresses rose, so did the temperature at the traditional afternoon tea party. It became the tea dance. Tempestuous dances, such as the Tango became the rage, as the proper waltz fell by the wayside. The tea dance became the place for young men and women to meet and mingle without the chaperones and stuffy restrictions of the past.
The Tea Dance bracelet was inspired by this change in social morals. A proper Victorian lady would have felt beautiful wearing this elegant bracelet with her formal ballroom gown as a flapper would have in her more abbreviated attire. Seventeen delicate circles make up this bracelet. Each circle consists of genuine sparkling Russian Cubic Zirconia. The total length is 8 inches with a secure silver clasp.
